Introduction

Lungnan Isak Fangas, born at Taitung County in Taiwan, is an Amis documentary filmmaker after receiving a BA in Sociology from National Taiwan University and an MFA in Film Production from University of Texas at Austin. He is a director of multiple documentary films, among which Ocean Fever has won numerous awards and participated in film festivals in Taiwan, the US and South Korea.

Lungnan has been an executive producer since 2009, when he began to supervise a series of documentaries on the deadliest Typhoon Morakot. Taivalu, his first documentary as a producer, won the Grand Prize at Taipei Film Festival in 2011, and his later representative works include The Making of On The Road(2011) and La Michael(2011), a musical. His latest production, Ga-Tau Chang(2019), premiered at the 2019 Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival.
