LU Yu Jui is a director and a photographer in Kaohsiung city. After his graduation from Visual communication design department of NTUA, he had worked in television station in 2004. In 2006, his first documentary Waiting for Fish has been selected in South Taiwan Film Festival. In 2009, he finished his second documentary, Freezing Point whose story is about the Amis aborigine workers in a cold storage, and on an open-ocean fishing boat. This film has been invited both in Kaohsiung Film Festival(2008), and in 15th Lyon Asian Film Festival(2009) in France. In 2010, his photographic work About Waving Good-bye- Three Years of Navigation, continued on the theme of crews and won the Kaohsiung Award. In 2011, he created an installation art work We Are Still on the Homeward Voyage -21639nm, has also been selected in Kaohsiung International Container Arts Festival. In 2012, he finished two documentary films A New Park & Wufeng Lin Family.

Today, he records the life story of Amis crews and the humanities of Kaohsiung seaside culture.
