Synopsis
Qiaoyun, a girl who grew up in an urban tribe, has two names but doesn't know the meaning of the other name. Qiaoyun heard a mysterious legend in the tribe, there is an unwritten rule - women are not allowed to go hunting in the mountains. Qiaoyun wants to become a huntress. She didn't know her name until she went hunting for the first time in the mountains.
Director Statement
This is a documentary that follows the growth of a girl and reflects the awakening of girls' femininity. The girl didn't know her tribal name, but gradually learned her identity and gender from a journey up the mountain to find a female hunter. The film combines picture-book-like animations, making this girl's search a beautiful story.
