Retouching is a traditional skill that has been fading away for several years. Before taking place on a computer it originally took place on the negative. My grandmother ran a photo studio where my mother, Lien learned how to take pictures, photographic processing and negative retouching since graduated from elementary school. Tens of thousands of face images were retouched by her hands, and her story has been witness to the ups and downs of the industry.
