Synopsis

The director attempts to find the answer from psychological factors, such as gender, oppression and cultural affinity, to exterior ones like nostalgia, and the political and economical changes of society after the government's retreat to Taiwan. There are also factors about the performance itself. Interviewed in this documentary, actress Ling Po reveals her experience acting in the movie and its influence on her entire life. Reactions of the audience, criticisms of experts and shots of social environment at that time are also seen in this film.
