CHEN Yi-zhu holds an MFA in Trans-disciplinary Arts from Taipei University of  the Arts, and a BA from the Department of Radio, Television & Film of Shih Hsin University. Her work re-reads, re-constructs and investigates images to explore the  multifaceted nature of reality/memory in the form of film experiments. She won  the Gold Award in the Taiwan competition of 25th Women Make Waves International Film Festival and was shortlisted for the Taiwan International Documentary Festival, Taipei Film Festival, and Kaohsiung Film Festival,  Singapore International Film Festival and Syros International Film Festival. She used to be a TV eco-program planning commissioner, cultural and  educational media program planning executive , and is now an independent filmmaker.
