Where Is My Home is the first of Lee's four films on family and nation. Lee documents her grandparents' last days starting from the day her grandma being sent to a nursing home, away from grandpa. At the time of filming, she was a student in Tainan, in the south of Taiwan, so she had to commute from south to north to Taipei to see her grandparents. She goes back to look at their earlier life in the country, moved with their son to Taipei then ended up in a home. The film also shows women's dilemma in caring for the old and how sometimes the family is our deepest secret...
