Yang Cheng-Hao

Introduction
Currently 27 years old, he is pursuing a Master’s degree in the Department of Radio, Television, and Film at Shih Hsin University. Since his undergraduate years, he has been actively engaged in filmmaking, working across both narrative and documentary genres. With a long-standing focus on family and social issues, his works are marked by a deep sense of humanistic concern. At the heart of his creative vision lies the theme of “searching for roots,” using the camera to explore the connections between self and land, family and memory. His ability to navigate between fiction and documentary is his greatest creative strength. By blending the perspectives and languages of both forms, he blurs the boundaries of genre—infusing documentaries with narrative beauty and bringing fictional stories closer to lived reality.
