Hsin-Yu Chen is a filmmaker and artist currently based in Taipei, Taiwan. He draws on border landscapes, embodied knowledge, and the notion of measurement and categorization to examine the intersection of the viewing body and the political subject.

His work has been shown in group exhibitions and festivals including MOCA Taipei; Taiwan International Video Art Exhibition; Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin; Ann Arbor Film Festival; Image Forum Festival; and Arkipel. He has participated in FIDCampus, Oberhausen Seminar, RAIR Philadelphia and Cité Internationale des Arts.
