Asako FUJIOKA is an independent consultant and producer with a focus on Asian creative documentaries. She has worked with the YIDFF since 1993 as Coordinator, Director of the Tokyo Office, and is now on the Board of Directors. She served on the selection committees of DMZ Docs Industry and the Asian Network of Documentary (AND) at the BIFF and has been on international juries of Berlinale (Forum), Sundance, and other festivals. She launched the filmmaker residency Yamagata Documentary Dojo in 2018 from where many international award-winning films have emerged. She is the producer of "Odoriko" (2020 IDFA) and "Nude at Heart" (2021 DOK Leipzig).
