Born in 1982, Sayun Simung is a Tayal from the Sqoyaw village in Taichung. Her time working in Taipei as a reporter for Taiwan Indigenous Television brought Indigenous traditions and contemporary cultural issues to her attention. After working in the city for eight years, she decided to return to her hometown and document her homecoming experience.
