WU is a professor in the Department of Special Education in Hsinchu University of Education. She has been promoting inclusive education including special needs students with normal students in the same class for 26 years. Her work Classmates was shot over the span of 19 years of two normal and two exceptional children from 3-22 years old. The film was selected for the Festival De Cine De Granada and screened at the New York Independent Film Festival.
