Synopsis
A young mixed-race woman has been searching for a place where she belongs. Adopted by a Dutch family, she has struggled not to feel like a stranger in a country so far from her birthplace, and has always longed for a place where she would feel truly at home. It is with this desire that she embarks on her journey of self-discovery, re-visiting her biological mother in Taipei.
Director Statement
Becoming a mother and a child are both tender experiences in life. In this story, we try to go back to our earliest feelings, the memories of the separation between child and the mother, and try to imagine embracing these child and mother in our memories. Invariably, this creation becomes a healing journey for us.
