Synopsis
Since the announcement of the closure of Taiwan Shoufu University without prior warning, on May 16th, 2022, a sense of insecurity struck all the students and faculty members, taking away every bit of confidence they had had in the school authority. The school administration and teaching were in a state of suspension. Students’ right to education was therefore deeply compromised.
Director Statement
As a student of Taiwan Shoufu University myself, I was shocked by the extremely sudden announcement stating that my school was going to close down, which took place when I was about to graduate. I then talked to one of our teachers, and have realized it was worse than I thought. I thus decided to make a documentary from the perspective of the students as well as the teachers of the university, meanwhile diving deeper into the matter.
