Synopsis
The director took a field trip spanning one year to shoot this film that depicted the life in Tokyo through three Taiwanese women from three generations. The film illustrated the challenges presented to these women in search of a different culture on a strange land, including personal relationship, financial problems, nationalism, exclusivism, cultural shock and myths. Though the distance between Taiwan and Japan is only three hours of flight away, many untold stories are kept secret within the two lands. The entire field trip was prevailed over by an unspeakable sense of nostalgia. It was merely a trip for the director, but a life-long journey for these floating women!
