Synopsis
Wearing lilies was a symbol of a person’s chastity for the women of the Lukai’s aristocracy. Nowadays, because of their integration with the Han people, the right to be decorated by lilies no longer belongs solely to the aristocrats. Yet, the lily is still used as a barometer of a woman’s chastity when tribesmen are choosing potential partners. This film works by showing the marital state of a Lukai woman, throwing light on the Lukai’s gender culture.
