Foxconn, the world's largest electronics OEM manufacturer, produces and assembles more than 50% of iPhones in the world. In 2010, serial suicides of Foxconn workers by jumping off a building caught attention. Another worker survived a suicide attempt but became paralysed from the waist down. In a related issue, an HTC engineer who had left a message on Facebook at midnight "off work, issue still not resolved", was found dead at his apartment due to sudden cardiac disease. This film challenges the brave new world that smartphones brought to consumers.
