On June l9, 1995, after the navy vessel left port, the Navy soldier, Huang Kao-Zhang, disappeared without any reason. As the Army reported, Huang fled in a civilian dress with his pack. Yet, several days later, Huang was found dead by the fishermen from China. His body was still in uniform and his head was pierced with a metal rod. For three years, Huang's mother has been consistently appealing to the Army against her son' death, but there is no response. The thrusting metal rod in her son's head becomes the pains deep in her heart.

Director Statement
"I’m often asked the question at work: Why do you make the film? To be honest, I have no answer, just as there is no answer to the question that what people live for.
For the sun rises
and I keep breathing
For I am in Taiwan
and work hard
but the world never changes…
Anyway, it’s good that the Taiwan International Documentary Festival is taking place. For this reason. At least, enthusiastic film-makers can hold on." -- Wen-Chien Tsao
