Synopsis
I returned to my hometown-Madou from Taipei, where I voyaged my collegiate days, worked for several years, and wandered around mostly. This place is famous of its shaddock, which is known as a festive fruit for the Moon cake Festival. According to the tradition, people go back to their hometown, gathering together on that day. It has the brightest and roundest moon of whole year. Throughout the years, I've been watching my father planting shaddock trees, from seedling to cropping. Streets are changing, new generation growing up by time. Through my father, I could imagine the life my ancestors had been through. It brought to mind my blue, drooping shaddock trees living in pots on the gray balcony of my rented house in Taipei.
