Synopsis

Some prophets say that year 2012 will be the end of the world. I didn’t believe it until seeing this village in south of Kaohsiung Port. The village surrounds by heavy industry and polluted ocean. I am teaching villagers producing short films to express their anger and hopeless. Their homework are unexpectedly interesting which is a native style, and reunite the villagers to take action against the factory and the government.

Director Statement

After public screenings, one question is asked frequently: why we depict the terrible circumstance in such a mocking way. Possible answers are: the reality is too ridiculous; the road to reform is still long; the life with factories goes on.
