Synopsis

In the town of Lukang, a group of young cultural preservation enthusiasts are anxious about the urban renewal plans to widen old roads. When the municipal office authorized the demolition of the historical shop "Re Mau Hang," a symbol of the town's brightest era, they jumped out in protest. The conflict between the city's plan for major development, and the preservation of cultural assets have attracted the attention of the officials. To this end, a popular District Planning specialist was called in. An art exhibition was held in the name of Re Mau Hang, in an attempt to fuse together traditional culture and contemporary art, and to create new cultural topics as well as opportunities to increase tourism. During the expo, conflicts continued to erupt between the professionals from out of town and the locals. It is with an increasing doubt that these young preservation artists are keeping an eye on these so-called specialists.
