TSAI has directed three documentaries: Design & Thinking (2012), Maker (2014) and Hanzi (2017). His award-winning Design & Thinking and Maker were crowd funded on Kickstarter and distributed independently.
TSAI’s works have been selected at many international film festivals, such as CPH: DOX, A Design, Seattle Design, and screened worldwide at organizations like Google, Twitter, and Harvard University. As a Taiwanese filmmaker focusing on the innovation sector, TSAI produced Hanzi to explore international design, visual culture, and identity through Chinese typography.
