There are about 150,000 Hakka residents populating the Kaohsiung area. Most of them migrated from northern Taiwan in the 1930s in search of better farming land. They diligently tended to their fields scattered around east of Love River. Due to urban planning and land redistribution, some became land owners, but some had to give it all up to the government. To hear their stories from fourth-generation Hakka migrants.
