It’s been a long time since we last visited Grandma’s place in Wan-Luan, Ping-tong. The reason why Grandma decided to stay in the old traditional house alone in the countryside revealed her personality – unwilling to trouble her children. 85 years old and conservative, she still devoted herself to agricultural laboring. Ever since I knew Grandma, her image of working and top cooking skills of rice-made food always mpressed me. Therefore, I carried my video camera back to Grandma’s house in Wan-Luan to document her daily lives. In this way, the memories of Grandma and rice-made food deep inside would be regained.
