Eight generals of the god is a folk performance in Taiwan's temple festivals. The film chooses two young men learning this dance from a small temple in Taitung, the outermost city on the island and is famous for its Lantern Festival celebrations. Through documenting their lives for a year, we see the city's unique beauty, temple culture and the possible involvement of gang members in the folk dance performance.

" The film was shot by Chou Yu-Hsin, Han Chung-Han and Wang Chen-Yu, while Chou took care of the editing. Neither of us has experiences in filmmaking. We tried to capture the training these two 15-year-old youths underwent and their lives without the costume and makeup. Both kids harbour different ideas about the future but are equally worried. To compromise seem too difficult for them. The interviews are casual. We intend to let the picture tell the story." - Chou, Han and Wang
