921, the powerful earthquake, not only destroyed Central Taiwan, it created a new lake right in the middle of Tsao Ling in Yun-Ling County. Big changes in the landscape drew immense public attention. After the big earthquake, ten well-known scenic areas have disappeared, and now Tsao Ling Lake has become the main site of tourism attraction in the area. The new business brought along new hopes for the local inhabitants. But, the threat of a big flood remains.
