WU Wen-rui is from Pingtung, Taiwan. He graduated from the Graduate Institute of Sound and Image Studies in Documentary, Tainan National University of the Arts and currently lives in Tainan. Documentaries form the basis of his filmmaking work, through which he tries to explore the connotations in life.
