JIING Yng-jaw
Introduction
Born in 1957 in Taipei, Yng-jaw JIING graduated from the Department of Chinese Literature at the National Chengchi University, and went on to earn his M.F.A. from the Department of Motion Picture & Television at UCLA. Jiing is currently a full-time associate professor at the Department of Theater Arts at the Chinese Culture University and is engaged in the filming of documentaries. Jiing translated the book Film Directing Shot by Shot - Visualizing from Concept to Screen by Steven D. Katz, and has authored the book The Aesthetics of Film Editing - The Art of Speech. His filmography includes The Choice (drama); 1997 Hong Kong People in Taiwan (documentary); Before and After 1997: Taiwanese in Hong Kong; The Profiles of Taiwanese Novelist -Literature Enthusiastic: Long,Ying-Zhong’s Beauty and Sorrow; and The Profiles of Taiwanese Novelist - The Man Who Pushes Stone: Wang, Wen-Shing.
